This page explains what happens to your data when you visit wavebonds.com and join the waitlist. It is short because we collect very little.
Who is responsible
Wavebonds ApS is the controller of the data described on this page. It is a company registered in Denmark.

We have not appointed a data protection officer.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we receive three things:
- Your company email address, which you type into the form.
- The language you have chosen on the site.
- The date and time of your request, in UTC.
We do not ask for your name. The site does not collect any other data about you.
Our server briefly uses your IP address in memory to limit how often one address can send the form (5 requests per hour). We do not store it and we do not write it to logs.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your email address to answer you and to contact you about Wavebonds, for example when we can offer you access. We do not use it for anything else.
Our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give it by submitting the form after reading the consent line next to it.
If you sign up as a business contact, we may also reply to you on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The rate limit protects the form against abuse. It rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who receives it
The form sends one email to our team mailbox. The mailbox is hosted by Proton AG in Switzerland, which handles it on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Only our team reads it.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. The site loads no third-party scripts, and its fonts are hosted on our own server.
Switzerland is outside the EU. The European Commission has decided that it offers an adequate level of data protection, so no further safeguard is needed for this transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address, language and time stamp in our mailbox until we close the waitlist or until you ask us to delete them. We delete them at the latest 24 months after our last contact with you.
Your IP address is held in memory only for the rate limit and is not stored.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask us whether we hold data about you and get a copy of it (access);
- have wrong data corrected (rectification);
- have your data deleted (erasure);
- ask us to pause the use of your data (restriction);
- object to uses that rest on our legitimate interest (objection);
- receive the data you gave us in a common format (data portability).
To use a right, write to the privacy contact above. We answer within one month.
Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the privacy contact above. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before. We then delete your data.
Complaints
You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk). You may also complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
Do you have to give us your data?
No. Joining the waitlist is voluntary. Without an email address we cannot add you to the waitlist, but you can use the rest of the site as you like.
We make no decisions about you by automated means and we do not build profiles.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie, called PARAGLIDE_LOCALE. It remembers the language you chose, so the site opens in that language next time.
It is a functional cookie. It holds no tracking identifier, is shared with nobody and does not need your consent, which is why there is no cookie banner.
We use no analytics, no advertising tools and no third-party scripts.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and its date.
